Run a Harbor dataset on denv
Use denv as the Harbor environment backend so every trial gets a forked, protected environment.
1. Install the package
pip install "denv[harbor]"
export DENV_SERVER=https://api.denv.ai DENV_API_KEY=dak_…
2. Run
harbor run --dataset terminal-bench/terminal-bench-2 --agent claude-code -e denv.harbor:DenvEnvironment
Nothing about the dataset or the agent changes. For a local task directory:
harbor run -p ./tasks/my-task -a oracle -e denv.harbor:DenvEnvironment
What the task's config maps to
| In the task | On denv |
|---|---|
[environment] docker_image |
a sandbox from that image with /app, /logs and the task workdir persisted |
environment/docker-compose.yaml |
the file deployed as a project; the agent runs in the first service |
allow_internet = true |
egress: allow; otherwise denied and proven by a probe |
only a Dockerfile |
not yet available: set docker_image to a prebuilt image |
The verifier runs where Harbor expects it and writes reward.txt into /logs/verifier, which Harbor downloads into the trial directory.
Verify it works
The backend repository runs Harbor's smallest task through the adapter in its conformance suite:
make e2e-frameworks # in denv-backend; needs Docker and python/.venv
The harbor check runs the oracle agent on a fixture task and expects reward 1.
