Self-hosted

Run the same denv software in your own account on any Kubernetes you already operate, licensed per GPU under management.

Self-hosted denv is the same software as hosted denv, installed by you on a Kubernetes cluster you already run: EKS, GKE, OpenShift or k3s. Hosted and self-hosted are two ways to run one product, not two products. The product page is self-hosted inference.

What you install

One Helm chart installs the operator, the controllers, the gateway, the network coordinator and the console. You provide:

  • a Kubernetes cluster to run it on (the management cluster),
  • a PostgreSQL database, version 15 or later,
  • S3-compatible object storage (MinIO works).

After installing, apply the license you receive from denv. The operator checks it and reports how many GPUs it allows. From there, the Quickstart steps are the same, from your own console at your own hostname.

License

The license is a signed file with a GPU count and an expiry. It is checked offline. If you go over the count, new nodes still join and a warning shows. Usage telemetry is opt-in and summarised (GPU-hours per site), never prompts or data.

Air-gapped installs

Mirror the images to your own registry, and the join command fetches from there. Nothing calls home.

Upgrades

You upgrade on your own schedule by bumping the chart version. Nodes stay compatible one minor version back and forward, so they can follow afterwards.

What denv supports

denv supports the chart, the controllers and the node software. The management cluster, the database and the network between your sites are yours.
